Keep cutting where others quit

Outback® Riders and Tractors

Outback® Riders and Tractors are made for the jobs no ordinary mower can handle. Tall grass, thick undergrowth, uneven ground... Nothing puts them off. Choose a Rider for slopes and thick brush, or a Tractor for fields, orchards, and big high-grass jobs. Either way, you’re in the seat of a machine built for pros, not pretenders. Hard-wearing, heavy-duty, and a step up from walk-behind brushcutters.

Grow your revenue

Expand your services

Outback® Riders and Tractors don’t just clear ground, they create business opportunities. The demand is there, and having these machines in your arsenal means you can say yes instead of turning work away.

The Rider gets into banks, slopes, and rough corridors that walk-behind brushcutters can’t handle, or where long stretches are simply easier handled from the seat. The Tractor, on the other hand, makes quick, comfortable work of meadows and wide open fields. Together, they give you the capacity to take on seasonal recovery, annual contracts, fire-break maintenance, and municipal clean-up jobs with confidence.

  • Farms
Farmers would rather focus on working their land and turning a profit. Offer to mow orchards, olive groves, and vineyard alleys before harvest. Our Outback® Riders will be more manoeuvrable than big agricultural tractors, and our Outback® Tractors slice through tall grass where a regular lawn mower would stall.
  • Estates
Private estates often include meadows, woodland edges, and perimeter ground that need reclaiming or seasonal maintenance.
  • Holiday homes
Owners want tidy grounds when they arrive for summer. Position yourself as the contractor who clears and maintains their property before the season starts.
  • Councils & municipalities
With more land left wild for biodiversity, grass now grows longer and brambles spread wider than ever on verges and public spaces.

Built with the operator in mind

Comfort and safety you can rely on!

Tackling rough, uneven ground is hard enough without fighting the machine. Outback® Riders and Tractors are designed to keep operators safe and comfortable, so you can put in the hours without burning out.

Riders: A certified ROPS with safety belt keeps you protected on slopes up to 22°. The tilt gauge system shows your working angle at a glance, while the low centre of gravity, 4WD and differential lock keep the machine steady on banks and uneven ground. A wide operator platform with secondary footholds and contoured seat with armrests ensures secure footing and all-day comfort.

Tractors: A rigid protection rail surrounds the seat deck for both safety and grip, letting you lean out with confidence when mowing edges. The ergonomic Cobo seat adjusts in six positions, while cruise control takes the strain off your right leg on longer runs. Add in intuitive controls, tilt steering and armrests, and you’ve got a tractor you can sit in all day without feeling it.

Ready for every season

Outback® attachments for year-round work

Why park up a machine for half the year? With Outback® Tractor and Rider attachments, you can keep yours on the job when the grass stops growing.

  • Sweeping brush: clear leaves, grit, or a light dusting of snow from hard surfaces.
  • Snow blade: push back snow on access roads, paths and drives in minutes.
  • Snow thrower: move heavy, wet snow where ploughing alone won’t cut it.
  • Snow chains: keep grip steady when ice makes the ground treacherous.

For contractors, that means one investment, multiple revenue streams. Mow in summer, clear in winter, and keep your Outback® in commission year-round.

Where Riders won’t fit

The Compact Solution

Not every site calls for a Rider or Tractor. For smaller jobs, tighter access, or steeper sections, the Outback® Walk-Behind Brushcutters bring the same fabricated steel decks and heavy-duty design in a compact, manoeuvrable package. They’re built to handle tall grass, thick brush and saplings up to 5 cm. The perfect companion to your Rider or Tractor.

FAQ: What Pros Ask

Why step up to the Outback® series from a walk-behind brushcutter?

Productivity. Riders and Tractors cover more ground per hour with less operator fatigue. Walk-behinds are great for tight spaces or smaller jobs, but once you’re reclaiming hectares, a seat makes the difference.

What type of jobs are these Outback® machines designed for?

Riders excel on awkward terrain where safety and grip are critical. Tractors are better for larger, flatter plots where high grass needs regular or seasonal cutting.

Can the Outback® Rider really handle steep slopes?

Yes, up to 22°! Thanks to its low stance, 4WD system, and ROPS protection. Always match slope rating to site conditions.

What about comfort for long days?

Tractors and Riders feature an ergonomic Cobo seat with 6 adjustments and cruise control. Riders have a wide operator platform, armrests, tilt steering, and a suspension seat option.

How tough are the decks?

Outback® decks are fabricated from heavy-gauge steel, not thin pressed metal. That means they take the knocks of daily commercial work without bending or cracking.

On the Riders, the Outback® Rider 92 cm uses a single swing-back blade that kicks back on impact to protect the blade and spindle, which is ideal for rough, obstacle-strewn ground. The Outback® Rider 110 cm moves up to a three-blade cross set for faster processing of tall, coarse grass and dense undergrowth. The Outback® Rider 132 cm uses the same three-blade cross configuration on an extra-wide deck to maximise coverage and reduce mowing time on large, overgrown areas.

Tractors use a high-capacity deck with offset cross blades that shred heavy grass cleanly and consistently.

Across both ranges, the decks are engineered to cope with rough ground, hidden obstacles, and season after season of abuse in the field.

Can I mow in reverse?

Yes. On the Riders you can keep the blades running in reverse, handy for backing out of a tight corner without leaving a strip of uncut brush behind. On the Tractors it’s just as simple: flip the Reverse Mow Option (RMO) switch and you’re cutting while backing up. Both save you from wasting time going forward, backing out, then lining up again.
